Aastra
From Pbxnsip Wiki
The Aastra 9133i is available in a SIP version that supports a couple of interesting features like bridged line appearance (BLA). The PBX support the plug and play installation of those devices. We were using version Firmware Version 1.3.1.1095 Firmware Release Code SIP Boot Version 1.1.0.10.
Plug and Play Installation
The PBX supports plug and play installation for the Aastra 9133i. Be sure to set up at least one account that has a * or a ? in the configuration settings, so that the PBX will find the "free parking space" for the phone.
There are actual several ways to make the phone get its configuration from the PBX:
- Set the tftp server on the DHCP server. DHCP supports indicating the tftp server in option 66. If you can set this option in your DHCP server, all phones in the network will install without having to configure each of them. The configuration will then be completely automatic.
- You can set that setting server also in the web interface of the phone. There is a page called "Configuration Server" which contains the necessary information. Choose as download protocol TFTP and specify the IP address of the PBX as the TFTP server address. HTTP should work as well, but we did not test that feature.
Manual Installation
For the manual configuration, you should log onto the web server of the phine. The default username and password for the web interface is admin/22222.
There is nothing special that you need to set up, just leave the settings with their default values. In global SIP, specify the IP address of the PBX as the "Proxy Server" and for the "Registrar Server" (the phone uses one outbound proxy for all accounts).
In the Line settings, you just need to specify the "Basic SIP Authentication Settings". Specify the "Phone Number", "Screen Name", "Caller ID", "Authentication Name" and the "Password" and press the "Save Settings" button.
After changing the settings for the device, you need to reboot the phone. This can be done from the web interface using the "Reset" link (Restart Phone).
