Kapanga Softphone is developed by Ecotronics Ventures LLC, an Internet software and Engineering services company based in the Washington DC Metro area. Since 2000, Ecotronics provides innovative technology products and services in the IP communications, Internet and Engineering fields for commercial and governmental organizations. SIP Registration setup for Kapanga

Configuring Kapanga. To configure every feature in Kapanga you'll need to know about the “K” icon. This icon is located in the lower right of the phone for the default skin. A one-mouse-click over this icon will open all the menus needed to configure, customize and license Kapanga Softphone.

• Click on the Red K button

• Select 'Call Control Settings' and go to the 'Proxy Configuration' tab

• In the 'SIP Proxy' field, enter the IP address or FQDN (fully qualified domain name) of the pbxnsip IP-PBX

• In the 'Authorization User' and 'Password' fields, enter the extension number and SIP password as set up on the PBX

• *** Important *** Whenever you change a setting, click on the Red K, choose the 'File' menu and Save (your configuration)

• After Saving, right click on the phone and choose 'Restart Softphone'

Software Updates: To check for updates manually, click on the K icon and then go to Help > Check for Updates. To have Kapanga update software automatically, please go to Configuration > General Settings, then set the checkbox in the Sofware Updates section of the General Debug tab.
