New Features

Hot Desking

Version 2.0.1 introduces Hot Desking as new feature.

Line Limitation

In order to increase the "look and feel" of an old telephone system, the number of calls per extension can now be limited. Also, if the new line setting is being used, the PBX will check if the extension is busy before it starts an intercom call to that extension.

Options When Calling From Cell Phone

When calling from an extension's cell phone through a trunk to an auto attendant, the caller now has options to place an outbound call, go to the voicemail box or go to the auto attendant.

TFTP File Generation

When the PBX generates files on the fly, those files can now be stored in a separate location.

More Call Information

The call information now also includes information about the jitter buffer usage. This should make it easier to track down problems with unstable IP connections.

USA Number Support

When the administrator selects a USA numbering plan, incoming caller-ID are now converted into a canonical format to make comparisons easier.

License Information

The display of the license information has been improved. The previous version made it difficult to see the license status.

Escape Account

The escape account is now also available per extension. This setting may override the settings for the domain,

Provisioning

The PBX was not addressing the old 7940/7960 models. Now the support which was available in the 1.5 version is also available in the 2.0 version.

The plug and play support for snom phones has been overhauled.

The TFTP password provisioning was not very secure. This problem can now be solved by using password provisioning settings.

The login now supports a permanent cookie feature, so that users can stay logged in for a longer time (one month).

Bug Fixes

Cell Phone Support

When a cell phone was entered, the PBX was always including this cell phone when the extension was called, even if the user selected the PBX not to do so.

Large BLF Lists

Polycom phones need TCP transport layer when sending long BLF lists. This has been changed in the automatic provisioning of Polycom phones.

CDR Generation

Writing CDR with SOAP was buggy when the SOAP server was not on the local host. Also, the SOAP CDR always contains an end time stamp, even if the call was not connected.

When a call was disconnected from the web interface, the PBX did not generate a CDR:

Fixes in CO-Lines

The dialog permissions were missing for CO-lines and now have been added.

When entering CO-lines, the session variable was appending the new list of CO-lines instead of replacing them. However, the internal data was ok.

The disconnect timer was started after the initiation of the call, but it must be started after the connection of the call.

Email Problems

The Email RFC was requesting email addresses in a special format. It was difficult to get the right format entered in the respective fields. Now the PBX automatically converts input to the right format.

Some email problems had a problem with file names that contain a slash in it. Now the emails do not use slash any more.

Park & Pickup

Unspecified Park & Pickup from star codes was not working.

Linux Problems

The multithreading in Linux was buggy. The PBX was generating a lot of zombie threads that were not picked up.

Service Flags

The day recognition was not working correct, the days were off by 24 hours.

ACK Routing

There was a bug in the serialization of ACK requests to challenges. The result could be that the Request-URI was not set.

Deleting of Accounts

When deleting an account, this was not accounted correctly in the license (exception: extensions). This was a major problem for the smaller office package, where only one account type exists. This was fixed in the 2.0.1.1624 build.

Audio Files

The 2.0.1 version now also contains Italian recordings. Because the number of recordings is constantly increasing, we decided to take the audio files out of the standard distribution (only US-English is included there). In order to add languages, you need to download the respective language pack and uncompress it to the working directory of the PBX. The PBX will automatically detect the new language after a restart of the service.
