Bugs
ACD
When there was no setting for the limit_delay, then the PBX assumes a value of zero. This will take a lot of the CPU power. The new version automatically puts a default value of 5 seconds there.
Conference
If there no administrator PIN available but a user PIN, the PBX would not set the conference up the right way. Although not strictly a bug, this has been changed. Now in this case it will use the user PIN to identify the conference room.
Music on Hold
The music on hold RTP streaming was not working properly because of the new IPv6 feature.
Transfer while Ringing
There was a problem during a attended transfer if the call was transferred while the destination was still ringing. If there was no support for UPDATE on the other side, then the PBX would send an overlapping INVITE, which would eventually lead to a transaction timeout. In the new version, the PBX will not send a overlapped INVITE. This can lead to transcoding and degraded voice quality, but will not result in a transaction timeout with a media disconnect.
Trunks
Call hold coming from a trunk could be a problem. Now the PBX will play the music on hold coming from the trunk and don’t use the internal music.
Static Registrations
Status registrations were deleted after a restart. The new version keeps the relevant information across service restarts.
SOAP HTTP
There was a problem when a SOAP request was not closing the HTTP connection. The behavior was not strictly following the HTTP RFC (regular HTTP requests were okay).
New Features
ACD
The Agent Group now ahs a new flag that tells when the PBX should connect the call. This makes it possible to avoid unnecessary costs to the caller.
Agents can now "dynamically" join and leave a group without having to go to the web interface. This is done using the login and logout star code concatenated with the extension group.
CDR
The PBX now supports recoding the time when the call was connected to an extension. This feature is useful when measuring actual talk time in the hunt group and agent groups.
Conference
Conferences can now also have recorded name announcements.
Appearance
There is now an explicit link for the help.
It is also now possible to explicitly set a link for click to dial links.
SIP password protection
The system administrator can now lock users out from changing SIP passwords.
Recordings
It was difficult to find out when a call was recording. The new version will send a notification email out and put a SOAP request to an external server.
Microsoft Vista
The PBX code now uses native calls to determine the IP address that is used for presenting the right IP address.
Emergency Call
Each extension can now have an emergency call number assigned. The PBX will also send an "early" CDR in case of an emergency call.
Domain Backup
The system administrator can now make a backup of the domain-specific data. New domains can be loaded from that backup. This makes it very easy to create new domains in hosted environments for new customers or move domains between servers.
Virtual Machines
Although not recommended for operational use, the PBX now supports virtual machines.
DND indication
When watching an extension through the buttons package, the user could not see that that extension was on DND. Now the PBX will show it by slow blinking of the light.
Mailbox Escape
When recording, the caller does not have the option to jump to the operator any more. The caller must finish the recording and then can go to the operator.
Registration Tracking
The user and the administrator can now receive and email when there is a registration lost or a new registration is received. This is very useful to track registration instabilities down.
Mailbox Message Copy
Users can now copy mailbox messages also to groups. Each member of the group will receive a copy of the message. Groups must be hunt groups or agent groups.
SNMP Domain
The SNMP domain string can now be set up from the web interface. The old default "public" can now be any string.
