Service Shutdown
From Pbxnsip Wiki
When you want to upgrade the software or do other maintenance work, you usually want to make sure that noone is making a call. If you have a busy box, this is sometimes a little bit difficult.
In general, it makes sense to perfoms such actions when there is low traffic, for example at night.
The trick to get calls off the PBX is to set the maximum number of calls to zero. Then the PBX will not accept new calls and will continue to serve active calls.
Then you can watch in the web interface if there are still calls going on and then safely shut down the system. If you manually want to delete calls, you can click on the call. You can also consider bargin into the call (*81 come in handy in this case) and tell the callers that you want to shut down the service.
After a restart of the server, you should not forget to change the number of maximum calls again to resume operation.
